Isagenix reviews you can find everywhere – and in the past year the reviews have become more and more prevalent as the popularity of Isagenix has increased. But is it the right business to be building for you?
Some of you know I studied dozens of companies before selecting Direct Cellars as my long-term business, and Isagenix was one of them. Isagenix has a ton of pluses in it’s corner, but through this post I’ll point out what ended up being sticking points for me.
Isagenix, the Company
Isagenix was founded in 2002 by John Anderson and Jim & Kathy Coover and focuses on quality health products.
A couple things I love about Isagenix from a company standpoint is their branding & marketing, and the concept of their overall product line. Healthy & wellness companies have historically performed the best in network marketing both from a longevity standpoint, as well as financially for both the companies and their distributors.
The Isagenix product packaging design is beautiful, and they also put a great deal of thought behind their video and marketing presentations.
Being 12+ years old also gives it a solid footing as far as longevity is concerned. Having a sturdy company to build on was one of the most important things I looked at before choosing a company.
The reason I ended up with Direct Cellars instead of Isagenix, was the easier to share products, as well as a few other things I’ll touch on below including the team, marketing methods, and compensation.
Isagenix Reviews – the Products
If you’re looking at Isagenix’s weight loss shakes, check out this comparison chart first. If you want a superior meal replacement shake as seen in the comparison chart, you can see Life Shotz’ LS-VIBE right here.
Isagenix’s most popular products seem to be the Isagenix 9 day cleanse and it’s other body cleansing products. Like I said, the presentation of the products is beautiful, and the science behind the ingredients seems to hold up in most cases.
Again, this is my research and my opinion, but I did a lot of it.
The Isagenix Compensation Plan
This is where the real problem came into play for me. Keep in mind – a compensation plan is not the first thing you should be choosing a company on as it IS possible to make money in any legitimate company. However, binary compensation plans are not something I’ll ever build.
There are several types of compensation plans in MLM, versions of binaries and uni-levels being the most common. In a binary compensation plan, you’re paid commission based on the weaker of 2 downline legs.
I’m not even sure how people don’t turn and run as soon as they here that… “We’ll pay you on the weaker of your two legs.”
Isagenix is one of the longest-running binaries out there, so maybe they have a magic bullet… but I personally didn’t want to bet on it.
I’ve talked to several people in the industry who have built binary compensation plans only to have one of their legs “run-away” and grow into what would’ve been hundreds of thousands of dollars in income for them… if they were only in a uni-level plan.
The Uni-level Compensation Plan Alternative
One of the issues some people have with uni-level plans is the fact that most of the time, they prevent you from placing people in your downline to help build-out teams. However, this actually helps build an extremely strong base of distributors for future income potential.

Isagenix Distributors & Marketing
One thing that is still unfortunately common in network marketing, is that there really isn’t a company that provides guidance on lead generation after a warm market is burned up.
I DO believe, however, that a warm market is always the best way to build a business at first. Growing that warm market is also important in the long run.
However, people have a strong desire to market their Isagenix business online – and that’s something (as far as I can tell) that Isagenix as a company frowns on.
Someday this may change, but for now it’s very common with MLM companies to not want their distributors marketing the business online for whatever reasons.
Of course, this is what I do… so I needed a business that would allow me to be ME.
After Your Warm Market
Where do you go? I, and many on my team, use MLSP (My Lead System Pro) as our educational and lead generation platform of choice.
MLSP teaches virtually every online marketing method you can possibly hope to know, has a tremendous community, and our team does weekly hangouts with even more free training; along with our Facebook and Skype groups to support new members.
If you’re going to succeed in network marketing – especially online – you need to start by investing in yourself. MLSP, the community, and our team have helped many people overcome the obstacle of having people to talk to about their business.
Isagenix Review – My Conclusion
Behind the trendy products, the marketing, and the great distributors out there still lies a binary compensation plan. Even though a compensation plan shouldn’t be the only factor that determines the company you join, for me a binary ends the decision process. There’s no way I’ll build one.
