As of May 19, 2017, it was announced that the Life Matters downline will be transferred to Young Living.
If you’re looking for a fun, easy-to-share company to join, I recommend the Direct Cellars wine deal.
When I reviewed over 32 MLM companies last year, Writing a Life Matters review (formerly Life Shotz) wasn’t even on my radar. You might be in a similar position – looking over reviews of of companies like Life Matters and trying to figure out why to choose one company over another. I’ll guide you through my personal thought process and maybe it will help you find what’s really important to you in a network marketing company.
I talk to a lot of people each day about Life Matters and network marketing in general. I hear this a lot: “the people in my area hate network marketing.” People perceive that this is because they are constantly bombarded with different offers and being pushed to buy or join something.
It sounds like network marketing isn’t the problem… it may be the network marketers who are the problem. Maybe there’s a better way?
Life Matters – Leading the Change
Richard Bliss Brooke, the CEO of Life Matters, has been leading the fight to help change the perception of our profession for years.
At Life Matters, the marketing and training is different. You can feel it in our Facebook community, our live events and from people who take a closer look at Life Shotz and wonder “where has this company been my whole life?”
I get it – I was there. I was hoping to find a company with moral integrity that matched the product quality. I really didn’t think it was out there – until I found it.
Profound education, no-pressure, respecting people’s timing, and an integrity-filled community is just part of what Life Shotz is all about.
In 2015, former Vemma top-earner, Matt Morrow joined Life Shotz/Life Matters as VP of Sales.
How I Found Life Matters and Life Shotz
I successfully built a growing team in another MLM company, was one of their top recruiters, and yet I found myself disillusioned and thinking there had to be a better way.
I felt stuck in between not wanting to make a mistake by staying with a company I didn’t agree with, and not wanting to make the mistake of leaving a growing organization.
Richard Brooke and his wife, Kimmy and I have a mutual friend on Facebook and I saw them mentioned one day. I already knew Richard’s name from his reputation in the industry and started searching for more information about him and then found what he was doing with Life Matters. I reached out and talked to Kimmy and Richard the next morning.
I started a product trial and felt a huge change in energy on my third day, and decided to go meet them in person.
I took a trip to meet them in California and immediately knew this was a different kind of company. Respectful, no-pressure, elite products and a grand vision. I was all-in.
My intention with Life Matters is to build a six-figure monthly business to provide my family the time and ability to travel more, to teach my two young boys about thinking big and being exceptional, and to build a legacy they can pass down to their kids someday.
The Founding of Life Matters
Life Matters was founded in 2010 as a branch of Oxyfresh, which has been run successfully by Richard Brooke for over 30 years. The company was originally called 21Ten, then Life Shotz. If was branched off because of the development of the core product (also called Life Shotz) which didn’t fit well with Oxyfresh’s line of dental and pet care products.
“It was just too powerful. It had to stand alone.”
And so, Life Matters was born!
The Life Matters and Life Shotz Products
The foundation, Life Shotz, is a nutritional supplement made for anyone who demands peak performance. Whether that’s athletes, professionals or on-the-go moms – Life Shotz gives you more energy, more focus and better sleep to help you perform your best.
Just take a look at the unsolicited reviews and testimonials that pour in about this product!
Personally, the first thing I noticed with Life Shotz was the increase in sustained energy. It’s not like drinking a energy drink, but it’s actually packing my body with nutrients for it to use as it needs. I drink one per day and it keeps me going day after day!
For my wife, she loves the mood-balancing effects it has. She noticed it after about a week on the product and with two little boys running around with her all day – mood can be a challenge! ;)
The second product line at Life Shotz is a whole food meal replacement called LS Vibe. Vibe is a non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free meal replacement that uses an incredible yellow pea protein as it’s protein source. A greens blend balances out the nutritional value and it has a complete amino acid profile to help your muscles rebuild after a workout.
Together, they form the macro and micro-nutrients your body needs to perform at peak levels. They truly bridge the gap between what we get from our food and what we SHOULD be getting from our food.
Vibe also has a patent-pending ingredient that helps maintain insulin function and healthy insulin levels. What this means is that Vibe actually helps stabilize normal blood sugar levels! Now that’s pretty cool stuff.
Again, my wife and I both take Vibe on a regular basis – for both weight-management and to get the nutrition we aren’t getting from real food. (Dirt! The Movie is a great documentary about how even high quality food doesn’t have the nutrition we need everyday.)
*** Life Matters just introduced two new game-changing products: Life Shotz Mind (a brain supplement for crystal-clear focus) and Life Shotz Motion (a joint supplement that can re-build soft tissue in joints). ***
The Life Matters Compensation Plan (formerly Life Shotz)
When you look at when people quit a network marketing company, it’s very often before they’ve been able to either A) get their product paid for, and/or B) get into profit quickly enough.
Life Matters solves this problem by handsomely rewarding it’s distributors with up front bonuses, immediate residual bonuses, as well as generous customer bonuses.
For instance, as a Life Matters distributor (or brand rep), when you build a small team of just three brand reps – here’s what happens:
1.) You’ll have made between $1050 and $1250 in bonuses,
2.) You’ll be earning free product,
3.) And you’ll have at least $100 in residual commission happening every month1.
Think about that for a minute.
All you do is get three brand reps and you’ve made some big commissions, are getting free product, and already have a residual check!
This is exactly what keeps a team active and growing!
On top of the impact of immediate bonuses and free product, the long term structure of the Life Shotz compensation plan sets people up for powerful residual income.
With 7% paid through 7 levels, and the ability to earn a percentage on infinite levels – your income earning potential is virtually unlimited – and that’s exactly what we want to see in a comp plan.
You’ll also find a tremendous customer bonus plan for those of you who find it easy to bring in loads of customers. You can earn up to 30% on each of your customers (even those ordering wholesale!).
If you’re interested in looking at the entire compensation plan, you can view it in it’s entirety by clicking here.
Life Matters Training & Tools
You may have gathered this already, but the Life Matters training is second-to-none compared to other MLM companies. You have access to multi-millionaires who have built massive organizations. My sponsor, Kimmy, built a 20,000 active distributor organization in under 4-years in her previous business.
Speaking of four years….
Our training system is based on a book written by Richard called The Four Year Career which explains network marketing as a concept and how to put that concept into practice to replace your current income. It’s a great book for someone who isn’t familiar with the business model to get a great grasp on what you’re doing.
This book is also used at Life Shotz as part of our recruiting system. Part of our system is what’s called the “Automated Prospecting System” or APS for short.
Imagine this… you put someone’s name and email into the APS, they get a video email from you where they can claim one of your 5-Day Intro Packs (our little green boxes) to try!
As soon as the package is delivered, an automated email series starts following-up with them, teaching them
more about the products and the business. At the same time, you’re getting reminders to follow-up!
With this automated system attached to our professional-level contact manager, we have one of the most powerful recruiting tools in the industry!
Life Matters Distributors Make the Difference
You can have elite products and an incredible compensation plan, but if you’re attracting the wrong type of person, the culture can be affected for the worse.
At Life Matters, we attract people like you – who believe in the network marketing model but are looking for a better company to do it with. We have friendly competitions, share tips across teams and work together to better ourselves, the business, and network marketing in it’s entirety!
If being no-pressure, low-hype and honest with people makes sense to you… you might be a fit for Life Matters.
Thank you for taking the time to read my Life Matters review (formerly Life Shotz) and I wish you the best in your search for the right company!
1 The bonuses are for sales of Life Matters Launch Kits, which is my recommended method of kicking off your business. Free product is up to $185 per month and assumes your new brand reps are ordering at least as much or more than you. The $100 residual is our 3-star bonus which you receive when you have 3 active brand reps and $1,000 in team volume in month.
